Wow, this has been a hectic day. After very little sleep during the two-day/one-night retreat, I’m struggling to get through.
The retreat at Camp Moosilauke was awesome. We got there early (left at 6:30am, got there by 8), and as we pulled into the camp I was amazed how similar it looked to my old summer home, Camp Wigwam. The first day the new staff members did some training, team building (but no lame games, surprisingly) and then canvassed the upper valley.
By the evening, the entire statewide staff had joined us. We did a short talent show, in which two others and I performed the oracle improv skit. Then, Capture the flag! We split into two groups (one for each cong. district). Let’s just say I avenged the softball loss–goooo CD 1!
The next day was my birthday and the rest of the staff was muy simpatico! They sang to me at the retreat, and after a group of us went hiking up Mt. Cube us hikers went out to dinner. I got this cake from the restuarant that was mostly whipped cream, but still good.
Then, we got back, and I found balloons hooked to my chair and, appropriately, a signed softball from the crew. To finish off the celbrations, the tech team went to the Red Arrow for B-day dinner #2 (just rice pudding for me this time). A great day all-around.

That’s the great thing about not drinking–when others are out at “Strange Brew” you can be productive. Well, if you consider blogging productive…
(I’m holding you to that address-lookup promise,btw).
I must know – is camp Moosilauke in Oquoosuc, Maine?
