The after-DOC party last night was a blast. The statewide staff went to Gillian’s, ate, drank, and played pool. I, of course, stuck to my ginger ale, and off-the-menu broccoli pasta. I also kicked some major ass in pool, winning about 6 in a row (with and without a partner). I beat both the state director and statewide field director before the field director (Tom) challenged me to a rematch (one-on-one this time). The staffer watching suggesting I take Solo’s advice of “Let the Wookie win”–i.e., don’t beat your boss. That must of been what I was subconsciously thinking when I scratched on the 8-ball…yeah…
