I looked at the presentation, and I honestly can’t figure out why the blogger (totally not cool enough to call himself a geek) said “if you are male it may make you barf.” It wasn’t the most in-depth presentation ever, but they make some really good points, and none of it is earth shattering. Maybe since I was a women’s studies minor I have a tiny bit of a biased view, but I just don’t get why homestyles was apparently so offended that he had to put up someone else’s research on his blog.
Well, “homestyles” has probably never read Simone de Beauvoir and can’t imagine much beyond the current gender roles constructed by our society.
I thought more than “making good points,” the presentation was quite humorous and thus accessible to some people who are disinclined to minor (or major) in women’s studies.
Plus, I’ve seen much worse ads on TV than the ones they came up with, especially the third one.
