Cynthia, my “houser,” (the 85-year-old) is awesome. The first two mornings, as I was running out the door to work, she had a glass of OJ ready for me. Then, last night, she had the NYTimes leaning against the door of my room, with this article on Dean circled. I thought that was especially funny since my Mom also emailed me a link to the article (of course, we at the office already knew about it).
Since I get in past midnight, I hadn’t really seen much of Cynthia. So, this morning I set my alarm for ten minutes earlier to have a conversation with her. Not only did I get OJ, but a breakfast. I really can’t say no to this woman when she offers me stuff; she seems to really like having a kid in the house again. I did wash my my own dishes though ;).

awww Cynthia sounds like the sweetest person ever. but don’t hurt your actual mother’s feelings by saying Cynthia is a “new mom” although I’m sure she’d understand the sentiment. but again, awwwwww Cynthia sounds just too sweet!!!!!!!! :D
Asma, you’re gushing… and spewing sap all over Aaron’s blog! Weirdo. (but ok, Cynthia does sound very nice) *waves* Hi Aaron! :) -j.
Hi guys! Yeah, Cynthia is the best. Not only does she have a glass of juice and political newspaper article out for me every morning, she offered to do my laundry! Well, kinda. I inquired about a washer/dryer and she said she doesn’t have one and does her laundry in the tub. But she mentioned this to her sister, and her *sister* offered (well, more like insisted) to do my laundry. When I get a car in 3 weeks or so, then I’ll take it to the laundromat. But for now, why say no?
