Civic Duty

Forgive me, blog-readers, for I have sinned. I voted via absentee in the Manchester City election and knew the candidates in only two out of ten races. They didn’t have party or title on the ballot–just names. And instead of leaving the races I was clueless about blank, I voted for random people. As I was sealing my ballot I realized I could have voted for a Republican…or even worse: a Rush Limbaugh follower. Oy. Well, hopefully my vote won’t matter ;).
On the way back from City Hall I stopped at Cesarios to pick up lunch. The girl behind the counter complimented my “Give ’em Hell Howard” button. I asked if she supported Dean–she did. I gave her the button. I’m such a sucker for cute girls behind counters.

    Don’t feel bad. I am voting absentee in the NJ statehouse elections and I still can’t figure out the public questions on the ballot.

    Laura,
    Checked out your blog! Thanks for signing up for a winternship in NH :) Also, just to be clear, Salem is definitely not Kerry Country. (Maybe you were implying that Mass. is Kerry Country, which might be a bit mroe accurate.)
    As for Jewish outreach, Steve Grossman did a little in NH.
