Journey

Well, my seven month journey from MIT to NH to ME to WI to NH to VA to MIT (with Canada in there somewhere) is coming to an end. I’m leaving MIT tomorrow morning to head back to northern virginia and to hopefully live with Less Than Nothing. And to look for a job.
My road trip up the east coast was oodles of fun. In NYC, I went to the children’s exhibit of the natural history museum. The museum worker was impressed by the length of time that Amy and I stayed at each scientific exhibit. Also in NYC I had a great dinner in Brooklyn with some of my orthodox friends; and Seth introduced me to his cat, Snickers, who loves to cuddle and shed.
After a stop-over in New Haven (where I got to hear the Gov speak!) it was onto MIT. Shabbat dinner was great, especially with the new kosher plan. The food has definitely approved, though we lost the raspberry gingerale. Saturday I played uno with Karen and Mike while watching the cartoon version of The Phantom Tollbooth. Then watched Roadkill Buffet do some improv and The Chorallaries sign parodies and act in lots of skits in their “Nth Annual Bad Taste” concert. This year’s Bad Taste was better than last; and the skits far outweighed the songs in humor value.
Sunday I visited the Twins in their new house in Brighton; we went for a walk since the weather was so nice. Sunday night I had yet another comedic experience when Darrell Hammond and Colin Quinn came to the ‘tute. Hammond had some trouble connecting with the apolitical MIT crowd, but Quinn was funny. Both were drunk while performing their standup. Then helped coach EC Hockey to a 4-2 win over Ashdown.
Monday I gave a talk about my Dean campaign experience to a smallish crowd. The people who came said it was good. Heck, even my Bro stopped by (must have been the free pizza)! Then visited Monica in her lab where she hooks the brains of rats up to computers and analyzes the various sections of their brains. The evening consisted of dinner at my Prof’s house and watching the 2nd Annual Latke-Hamentashen debate (surprise! it ended in a tie).
And now I’m crashing at a friend’s about to catch some much needed Zzz’s.

In high school, my friends and I would have called something as cute as that post “bootylicious.” But that post was more than just bootylicious… it was also kneelicious, tummylicious, and armpitlicious.
I heard Zephyr’s leaving the DFA blog. You should ask her to come write for Blog to Go! That would be hottttt.

Wow, having a post compared to a Destiny’s Child song…that might be the pinnacle of blogging. I’d better retire now, while I’m on top.
On the other hand, my readership isn’t so big that Jewel reads it religiously. So I better keep posting.
